I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who works primarily with adolescents and adults. I help my clients reconnect with themselves and get back on track to where they want to be, both emotionally and physically. My vision is to provide a safe place for my clients and to encourage and support my clients’ goals.
I earned a Master of Science degree in Clinical Psychology from Murray State University and I am licensed to practice in the state of Illinois. I have experience with both residential and outpatient treatment and I have worked with depression, anxiety, LGBTQ, trauma, eating disorders, and a variety of other areas. I prefer to use an eclectic approach, as I believe each individual is unique and responds differently to treatment.
Does this describe you?
Are you stuck, unbalanced or don’t know what to do when you get down?
Do you feel the impact of stress affecting your well being along with impatience or anger?
Are your relationships with others troubled, unsatisfying, or not where they should be?
Do you feel trapped, uneasy, or have difficulty making decisions?
Are you just going through the motions, not really being present or focused?
Do you just want to be your best self and achieve a life lived on your own terms?
I can help guide you to feel more comfortable with yourself and become more open to new ways of improving your well being. We can work together to help you achieve the change you want. You can feel safe and supported along your journey to feeling better in your life. After all it is your life and it is worth doing what you can to make it happier, healthier, and more fulfilling.
I value self-care and self-acceptance and wish to empower wellness within each individual. Outside of my therapy role, I like to spend time with family and friends and relax with my dog as these are self-care techniques for me personally. I strive to focus on myself and take care of my needs so that I can be present and supportive during therapy. My “Philosophy of Care” is that one cannot take care of others if they do not take care of themselves first.
